About Cle Thompson

Cle has always been passionate about music and performance since childhood. Growing up in Chicago, she remembers her father taking her and her sister to sing for their neighbors and singing harmony while doing dishes. Her love for theater and stage further developed, leading her to become a professional stage actress, performing in musicals and both dramatic and comedic roles. As a vocalist, Cle's journey has taken her from her hometown, Chicago, to San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, and North Carolina. Her debut album, "I Want to Be With You," combines ballads and blues with bossas, sambas, and swing tunes, while her holiday album "'Tis the Season" features songs in Portuguese and Spanish. She also composed music for Shakespeare's sonnets for her album, "Shall I Compare Thee."

Through her musical journey, Cle has had the opportunity to work with incredible musicians who have nurtured and shaped her. "In LA, I learned from jazz legends who taught me that music lives in the soul. Their dedication, skill, and mastery inspire me to this day to keep learning, growing, and reaching just a little bit further each time. And always to follow the musical soul that lives within me."

This performance is a sponsored project of the Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County and funded through ARPA supported by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners.
